those helmets are some of the best looking xc helmets iv ever seen!
  • 5 1
yeah they look sick. Does look a bit like they might have bought the rights to the Giro Hex and dabbled with it a bit though . . . then again maybe not, there are only so many ways you can make a helmet
  • 11 0
Can't wait for the design to trickle down to the cheap helmets.

 Sharp lids.

They are a complete rip off of the Giro Hex

dang helmet looks like a helmet....

I like it better than the fugly over priced TLD! Where can I order one?
  • 4 0
There IXS so they will be reasonably priced as well stoked

I wish the US had distro for iXS, I'd buy one of those in a second.
  • 1 0
It's probably going to run at least $90. Cheaper than some, but not cheap.
  • 1 0
 Not available in the U.S?
  • 1 0
Will they be made for huge noggins? I doubt it. I can't seem to find a good-coverage 63cm+ helmet that actually goes around my head instead of perching up top.

That IXS lid looks like a Trek Session.

the helmets look good and so do the DMR tires. but is it just me or is it rare like never happens to hit the back of your head when mountain biking. if anything give me some extra face or front of the head protection.
  • 2 0
@mrgonzo: So it would have mutton chops?
  • 1 0
I'd buy a mutton chop helmet in a second. or instead of a helmet just a face shield that wraps around my head with a rubber band. trick or treat on the trail all year round.
  • 1 0
@ taletotell... are you saying that you only buy cheap helmets or that you just want to see the design but not necessarily the construction trickle down to cheap helmets? I for one would rather pay a little extra when it comes to head protection. Not TLD prices as I believe that you can get the same protection from slightly cheaper helmets on the market.

I was just wondering if someone would say!
  • 1 0
 About the session that is
  • 1 0
There are sufficiently safe helmets that sell for $50. They are just ugly. It is the nature of capitalism that the pretty style eventually reach the cheap crap. Look at the Kia Forte.
  • 1 0
It looks just like my Giro Hex...in a Trek Session sort of way.
  • 13 0
Awe common, isn't anyone going to saying anything about how they'd like to ride The Cougar? Sheesh, do I have to do everything around here?
  • 1 0
The couger looks like it maybe a stiff ride!
  • 1 0
I'm dreading someone familiar with sashimi making a nasty joke that connects both tyres.
  • 13 0
 I love matte finish...
  • 4 0
Definitely, that matte white Sect looks the business Big Grin
  • 1 0
I don't know anyone who doesn't like a matte finish. All of our matte colored bikes at my shop are almost always the first ones to sell out in the season.
  • 10 0
I like the look of that IXS helmet. Is there a distributor in Canada?
  • 3 0
 Looks like a Giro Hex.
  • 3 1
I think it ought to be expected that two helmets with similar purposes will look alike.
  • 4 0
I admittedly don't know all that much about tire development so this might be a dumb question but what exactly goes into the 'development' of a 650B tire? If you have the tread pattern developed isn't it a matter of just making a bigger tire? I'm sure there is a little more too it but whats the big hold up? is there that much difference between these tire sizes?
  • 3 0
Don't concentric BB pedal like poo?
  • 5 0
And a bike that is designed to run single speed is meant to pedal good??
  • 3 0
i ride on my local xc trails with my buddy on our SS DJs.. we smoke everyone, including going uphill. just depends on how you ride Wink
  • 4 0
I have a single speed bike, and it pedals awesome.
  • 2 0
two speeds pedalling uphill: "fast" and "walk" and when my friends' bikes are all clackety clack I'm just laughing
  • 2 0
thanks IXS, for developing this helmet, I want one for myself ..... just need to know the price ..... I am in love .....
  • 3 1
cant wait 2 see wat that helmet retails for cause i want one
  • 3 1
More pics of the Sect dirt jump frame please!
  • 2 1
those helmets look almost exactly like the 661 recon helmet...at least they could make a bigger effort in design new things
  • 2 0
wow i love that helmet. simple clean and stunning
  • 4 3
 That's what she said.
  • 2 0
Those lids look really Sweet loads of coverage and light too
  • 1 0
the dmr's are still heavy and should be rolling out with integrated seat clamp as standard imo
  • 1 0
Mah nice colors indeed, for there more i would like to see more stuff of IXS!
  • 2 0
When can I buy that IXS lid?
  • 1 0
shut up and take my money
  • 1 0
Here's my next trail helmet!! Big Grin
  • 1 2
I'm now officially confused. Hutch was showing their 27.5" tires at the show but are working on a 650B still? Aren't those sizes the same thing?
  • 1 0
The terms are interchangeable. I think some folks just like to interchange them more than others. So yes, they released 27.5 tires in 2.2 and 2.4, and are still working on the 650b (or 27.5) DH tire.
  • 2 0
I see what you did there in the article Wink
  • 1 0
dmr frame is crime for my eyes
  • 1 0
Looks like there is a dude taking a whiz behind that dmr frame.
  • 1 0
all that new DMR gear looks dialed!
  • 1 0
 I like the colors!
  • 1 0

  • 2 0

  • 1 2
The Bolt looks vile, look at the tiny linkage.
