"Enduro??? Hahaha wtf is enduro??? Its called mountain bike , my parents where doing it 20 years ago. Get f*cked mtb industry"
I think there is nothing more to say...
Take it easy guys, it is just mountain biking. That movie is sweet, that guy has some amazing skills and flow in his riding in all movies, amazing merge of great rider and great trail put together by a mountain bike - appreciate and enjoy!
That edit was really sick. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not but that nose bonk into manualing through the whoops was insane.
In all seriousness, whatever you call that riding (it was DH from my perspective), it was bloomin' awesome. Bas's style is so laid back we could all be fooled into thinking we could schely just the same... until actually hitting the trails
I realized that if someone is giving me a jobby with ketchup and mustard on, and tells me it's a fine sausage, then I should be smart enough to recognize it and not to eat it. Furthermore I should be smart enough to keep on eating sausages whenever I like to, even though someone wanted to make me feel bad about them. Just let it slip from you and go on doing what you do the way you like, after all from that sea of hype we are going to get some great biking products thanks to "Enduro". I just bought second hand XX1 cranks, slightly above the price I paid for SLX 5 years ago, and mounted a spiderless N/W chain ring to it. The feeling of skipping two piece chainring bolts and unreliable lower rollers on chain guides - priceless!!!
Well at least its a step up from his totally non bigoted "olimpics are f*cking gay! freestyle its not olimpic." Facebook post.
Btw, holly snit was he ballin!
Can we bring that back please? Might bring the negative stigma away from the term "Enduro" when it's called "EXTREME Enduro".
BTW So much style in this video!
WAKI - this wasn't an interview - both comments were simply Facebook updates made less then two weeks apart.
In response to people who are mad that it is called "enduro" and say "It's just mountain biking", I l have a point to make that maybe you have overlooked.
I don't have a DH bike, free-ride is a very broad term, I occasionally ride XC, but mostly I ride "just mountain bike" style. Do you see the problem there? All the disciplines are just mountain biking. For me "enduro" describes a type of riding. Some people call it "all-mountain" but that is pretty vague and frankly inaccurate if you live where there are really just hills.
Enduro motorbikes are not motocross. They are tougher and have larger tanks. They are for long trail rides and races, and are focused on railing turns with some jumps and they are tougher. They can take a beating, hit jumps, and are a blast. Does that sound like a fitting description for enduro mountain bikes?
I know there is a lot of marketing hype. Get over it. It doesn't mean we can't refer to tough mid travel bikes as enduro rigs since they are tough do it all machines, like the motorcycles for which they are named.
G is definitely not legal though. And I'm not a moron thank you very much.
bik3r129, nuff said, your own posts and negative numbers speak volumes...
Shiver and Intense, MAD respect to you and your crew, (And the MAIN Homie who is the most responsible for that trail!), without you guys, there would be nothing for any out of town boys coming in to shred and look half as good on camera as the small handful of locals do there every week.
Bottom line, it's the internet. Anyone who wants to weigh in and look like a hero to a bunch of people they don't know and very likely will never meet by jeopardizing their own backyard may want to not consider riding there anymore. That type of behavior is not looked favorably on. The other option is to Shut Up And Ride. I strongly suggest option 2.
Deity: your birthday is one day before mine, shall we exchange cards?
Exactly how many styles of enduro are there now????
Anyone else here with the same experiences?
bikes are evolving and so do we
160mm modern bike have more capabilities than 180mm old school freeride bike from... ten
years ago. belive me ive been there (15 years of riding)
and for that one bike that i own.... i prefer the new one....
Why?
Cause Enduro pushed the bike industry to build and design products and bikes that can be ridden to the trails or mountains, ride up and hammer down hard!
Makes me feel 15 years younger and that is awesome!
Cheers.
Transition needs to reclaim their rightfull throne after the last Pinkbike 26in version review.

But since I live over 5,000 miles away, a private message wouldn't hurt too much for a couple of days riding next month ... and that's assuming they're not far from San Francisco, which so far I'm told they are not!
