For the record, I personally ride flats for freedom. but if staying on and winning races is the goal. Best to keep your feet in place.. Unless of course it's muddy has hell, requiring a dab and re-clip.. In that case, Gee showed us in Cairns that Flats still have a place on the top step.. well, and of course Sam Hill! Legend!.
