Im wearing a tutu for that match or can i use normal pants?

You can wear whatever you want. You'll still get your ass kicked. I'd venture that Nino would smoke you on a DH course riding a rigid 29er and you on a carbon V-10.
  • 3 0
Not just any rigid 29er. He can smoke you pathetic on a singlespeed rigid chromo hardtail with V-brakes and 1.5" tires. Not to mention 520mm xc bars.

Whaaaa! xc riders are always better "all around" riders than we give them credit for.

nino is definitely one of the most skilled xc riders out there. he knows how to ride a bike and would smoke moste of us even on a dirt or downhill bike. as a kid he was racing dual slalom as well and stood on top of the podium many times.

He also won a round of the Maxiavalanche a couple of years ago, in front of Remy Absalon and all the other enduro stars...

If Niño wins the Olimpics on that 650b Scott. It's gonna be everywhere. I think it will be the dominate wheel size in less than 5 years.

In not really into XC but been doing some research into the riders ahead or the olympics. So what's so special about Niños Scott. Does it have a different wheel size. Not 26"
  • 1 0
650b=27.5inch wheel size, and I think the frame is designed for them. I'm not sure if the DT fork is though.
  • 1 0
Yea it is. I looked into that too.

Niño requested a 650b 27.5 bike for the Olympic track. Once he rode it he quickly realized it was really fast everywhere. At 17.9 pounds it's really lite. The fork is a costumized DT Swiss XRC Carbon 100mm. Thanks to Niño 650b is on the fast track. If your a trailrider this is good news because we are going to get more capable bikes than what we are currently using. Thanks Niño.

Actually Scott did a lot of testing earlier this year with the Scott Power team. They intensively tested 26", 27.5" and 29" bikes on the same track over several days and found that the 27.5" bikes were the fastest overall.
