Case in point: some idiot will think it's a DH helmet, get hurt, and sue MET. Presumably, European courts would toss the suit.
It's an XC lid. MET designed it for people who would otherwise do a trail ride with an XC helmet but want the grill protector.
Its something ill be considering for my next downhill lid though.. If it passes standards why worry about it? They can attain those standards and give it crazy ventilation with a ridiculous low weight good on them.
They could offer some more detailed graphics but at the end of the day for me function > aesthetics.
Not sure what price will be down here d3 and dissident are about $350
Im am glad the met parachute is back
Expensive? I can spend a little more , for a little extra protection before my next faceplant!!
I ride with my son i could not be happier that he is wearing it too.
Cheers.

also sorry to hear about david coulthard and his accident in the news it says he suffered a head injury but was he wearing a helmet ? i hope he get through this .
Who cares?
I can still see very beautiful trails in front of me when i am wearing it!!
I can get 1100gram for 150€
take my £ an sighn me up for some smashed up teeth!
this "full face" is gonna make a lot of dentists rich an happy
DH or MX (dont get me started on that debate)
The way I see it is........
I could spend 500$ on a D3, crash and walk away just fine or I can spend half that on this rad coconut protecter and pay 10 times that in the ER after my helmet cracks.
Might as well check into the ER right now.
Otherwise at $139 I would get a TLD A1
