There are thousands of people across the world who loving watching it and those racing it are having a rad time.
Sure this isn't a "UCI" race that coincides with a major DH/XC event going on at Schladming or somewhere else. This series and these riders need the support of the community more than you could possibly imagine and for reasons I doubt you'd understand.
That said, it's almost really sad that you can't find interest in all disciplines of mountain biking. Try supporting the community as a whole, and try to be less Summers Eve.
